There are many times in this life when we are confronted with challenges in some shape or form. Our ability to grow from these challenges is dependent in many ways on our ability to accept and befriend them, to sit with them and thereby eventually transcend them. Yin yoga provides us with a wonderful opportunity to practise this technique.
In this 2-hour workshop we will focus on the upper back, chest and neck, arms and shoulders. While marinating in yin postures we will explore how we can practise mindfulness or deepen an already-established meditation or mindfulness practice. The goal is to recognise and hold space for whatever we observe within us-breath, thoughts, emotions, not to simply wish it were not there.
This yin yoga workshop is suitable for everyone. It is not necessary to have any yoga or mindfulness experience. I'll bring uplifting reading and soothing playlists and the studio has plenty of props. Come along with an open heart, an open mind, and a willingness to tap into the magic that the yin yoga practice has to offer us all.
