Sinking into Summer: In Traditional Chinese Medicine summer time is connected with the heart meridian and the fire element. The heart is the centre of our creative fires, so we will explore luscious heart-melting pose and some nurturing holds for the chest, neck and shoulders. The fire will surface when we focus on the hips too, but two days after the summer solstice is too good an opportunity not to dive into dragon’s release for the hip flexors.
An extra long savasana to finish will leave you floating out of the studio with a lighter heart, more movement in the hips, and a renewed confidence in your own unique creativity.
